Medusa is constructed from resin, seashell, Panarulis (Caribbean spiny lobster) carapace and legs (serving as armature and encased in plaster and resin), glass, and an assortment of found and fabricated materials.

 Like many Fredian Slips works, this piece began with the spark of an idea. Materials accumulated, interacted, and ultimately determined their own relationships with some, of course, help from the artist.
